No — EngCanvas is a paid product. You start with a 7-day free trial (a card is required), and you can cancel anytime before it ends and you won't be charged. After the trial it's $49/mo for a single user.
The card lets your trial roll straight into a subscription with no interruption if you decide to keep EngCanvas. You won't be charged during the 7 days, and you can cancel anytime before the trial ends right from your account.
If you haven't cancelled, the trial converts to the $49/mo single-user plan and your card is charged. We email you a reminder before that happens. Cancel anytime from your account and you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for.
This is founder pricing for Version 1. As we add templates and polish the app, the price will rise to match what EngCanvas becomes. If you start an account now, your rate is locked through the end of 2027 — no matter how prices change in the meantime.
You'll find some rough edges in the UI and UX, and we're upfront about that. But you never have to take a number on faith: EngCanvas is a fully transparent calculator. Every calculation is shown step by step, LaTeX-rendered, and reviewable at each stage — so you check the work yourself instead of trusting a black box. The engine, functions, and templates are rigorously tested.
